One evening, Jeannine lit a candle and experienced an unexpected allergic reaction—something she never imagined from a supposedly clean essential oil candle meant to create a soothing atmosphere. After digging deeper, she discovered a picture and description of a tree nut but without a list of actual ingredients she never discovered the culprit hidden behind an innocent-sounding fragrance name. That moment changed everything.

Jeannine was frustrated by how often tree nuts appear in unexpected products—sometimes unlabeled or buried in long ingredient lists. In household and cosmetic products, manufacturers aren’t required to include “contains/may contain” allergen statements. When a label lists thirty ingredients, it’s easy to miss something important.
